The Salem Police Foundation is kicking off, for the third year, a scholarship opportunity. It is with great gratitude and recognition of former Chief Jerry Moore and his 44 years of services to our community, that the Salem Police Foundation has established the Jerry Moore Scholarship in honor of his legacy.
This scholarship will be available to any high school senior who intends on pursuing post-secondary education at an institution of higher learning, AND is a child of an active, full-time SPD employee; retired SPD employee; 911 employee, Cadet program; or a participant in one of SPD’s youth programs such as the Guardians – a mentoring program for at-risk and homeless teens.
The Jerry Moore Scholarship application is now open and will be awarded June 2023 and applied to the school year 2023 – 2024.
